During my last H1 transfer in 2008,LCA was filed for 60k per anum.LCA was filed in as work location Lanham,MD
Last Year ,my payroll ran for 90k per annum.
This year , my pay stub is running for 60k per annum. Still my Labor is for 60k only.
Will this be a problem when I am applying for Labor and at I140 stage in GC process?
Now If I am applying for H1b Extension,because of this drastic difference of 30k per anum,
will this be a problem.
please help me with answering this question.

I have an Andvance Parole valid till Feb'10 end. However right now am in India and wish to stay back even after the AP expiry. In this scenario is it good to apply for renewal AP from India or is it advisable to return back to US and then apply for AP?
Does any one provide how much time it takes for the renewal if I apply for AP from India. Do I need to give the India address for delivery? I have some one in US who can recieve the AP by mail and can send it by post to India. Is this an advisable?

Guys, Due to all this mess up with dates I decided to file 485/EAD/AP myself and for my wife on 6/29; so filled up everything, attached copies, photos and what not and FedExed all to USICS on June 30 to hit them on 2nd July.
Now I see that by mistake I have put my SSN on my wife's 765. She has been always on H4, never had SSN.
1. What can be the consequence of this mistake?
2. Should I try to pull it back from USICS and submit again (if it's at all possible)

Though I have started only one theread in last three years of my membership, I can't resist a temptation to start one now. From the following article in WSJ the lame duck session now appears certain and it is going to be in this month !!!!!!!!!!!!
The link does not require user ID and passowrd. I am late on sending my e-mails on housing crisis and emplyment based green cards. But I am going to do it right now. I urge all the members to do the same. Though I am not sure whther they will take up HR 5882 or any other relief language, no harm in hoping and praying.

My employer mentioned that my job description is Senior Analyst in the application. Does that mean I have to be a Senior Analyst till the time I get GC ? Cant I take up another job like Architect ?
Also, for 140 application do I have to sign on any PERM labor related document ?

The USCIS announced today, April 27, 2009, that it has received approxiamtely 45,000 H-1B petitions counting toward this fiscal year's general cap of 65,000. Therefore it will continue to accept H-1B petitions that are subject to the general cap.
Then USCIS also announced that it has received approximately 20,000 H-1B petitions for aliens with U.S. advanced degrees subject to the 20,000 advanced degree cap. However, the USCIS says it will continue to accept additional advanced degree petitions because it knows from past experience that some number of the advance degree petitions are not approvable for any number of possible reasons.
I will update this blog on the H-1B account as soon as the USCIS makes further announcements.

Processing of 140 applications in NSC now takes 9 to 12 months . The movement of dates only will make things worse for processing of all the applications.
Hope it does not take more than a year for AP and EAD ...

I am working on H1B visa as full time employee (Business Analyst) for a global manufacturing company. After going throughforums I understand that as consulting employees need client letters, similarly full time employees need in house project documentation for visa stamping. I work in IT department of my company where we maintain applications and provide production support and there is no specific project that I am working on. Should full time employees must have in house project documentation for visa stamping? Will I have any problem if I tell VO that I provide production support and am not working on a specific 1 project?

I got a new passport last week.

1500 H-1Bs were claimed in the last week and just over 20,000 remain for the fiscal year. Based on a four week rolling average (1175), I am projecting the target will be exhausted in 17 weeks which will be February 23, 2011. Previously, I had been projecting March, but the overall usage of H-1Bs has been somewhat busier in the last month than in previous months. The early retirement of US Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) has opened up an appointment opportunity for Governor Charlie Crist, himself a candidate for Martinez's seat. Crist will likely not appoint himself and a number of names are circulating for potential replacements.
