SATYAGRAH is an Excellent idea.One day hunger strike near Capitol hill will give enough media attention ! I think it is legal to protest in a peacefull way. It is much better than rally ! I am ready to participate in SATYAGRAH in DC !

Couldn't stop writing this one liner to appreciate you sense of humor :D :D :D - hope we stop wasting IV server space and contribute towards positive discussion than a travel review site ...
The discussion is getting more and more interesting. somebody posted his/her experience with a particular airlines in the begining and lot of us joined in to crucify him/her for having said that. Then saxena came with his private jet and flight atendents and now saxena is getting rounded up. Interestingly UP/Bihar came up (knowingly / unknowingly) almost as a derogatory remark. Then somebody proved that its not UP/Bihar but south indians who are really hipocrites. In between all this somehow the airlines industry people escaped and are laughing. The final take seems to be something like this; We have chosen to be frustrated and if the earth doesn't give us reasons we will look for it in the sun. Either way we will reach our goals. Now let us make a tally of how many reds / greens each person got and find the winner.
Whenever and if at all I ever get to meet the creator divine I will certainly ask him how drunk he/she really was when he created the human brain.

I dont know why people are thinking CIR will be advantageous :
WHat does CIR do :
Lets divide in to Four categories :
1. PPL who has to still enter US
2. PPL who have not started GC
3. PPL whose Labor pending in BEC
4. PPL whose 140 pending or approved.
In each i have not seen advantages but these are disadvantages , please enlighten me about advantages over current system in each cases.
Case -1: THere are enough provisions like Increase in H1B fees, Eliminating contracting etc that would effect and truely we may not be worrying about this in this context.
Case -2: For people who have not stated GC yet , its utter chaos, as per the dates in CIR. Now point system is not tested, there are severe imbalancements , No up system yet in INS , no yet personnel allocation . I dont see any reason INS will be on to this even if passed for atleast 2 years.
Based on this even if people say 5 years or so , no one exactly knows it might even take more than 7 years becoz of initial filing delays , accessing points , etc . What about extensions in H1B , anyways H1B system is so scrwed up consultants will be reduced by atleast 50% , and only survive who can find an work around. after all this High filing will force many out. I dont see anything good with new system. No big diff in Visa allocations to say that it will be faster for ppl. H1B Cant be renewed 3 years. Now is there any advantage over old sytem ? I dont think so .
Case -3: People who were stuck in BEC. Its bigger problem for many people who are renewing H1 based on this. Now that cant do it . SO its again their issue.
Case -4: People who got I140 approved or pending , They wont be effected anyways.

I got to know from my attorney that, USCIS has my I 140 information in their system and they gave him a receipt number. But, the receipt is not generated yet. It may take a week or so to get the receipt. My appl was filed on 12th and it reached NSC on 13th.
I checked the status online with this receipt # and online status shows that they recieved the aplication on 19th and its at Texas center. May be my appl was moved to Texas now.

It is not range. It is the USCIS receipt date for previous EAD application. So you have to see previous I765 application receipt.

If you have already filed 140 and 485 together in July 2006, it is already more than six months. Since you wrote you have used AP, I'm assuming you have filed 485 as well.
If the above is true, you can join a new employer for a similar job or rather same job description and do AC21 to move your case to the new company. Since your 140 is still pending, it will be an issue but not something which will realistically impact you if you do your AC21 paperwork nicely. If your 140 was approvable when it was filed, you shouldnt have any issues.
You need to do two things -
a) Find an employer to switch to immediately.
b) Find a good lawyer who will help you out on AC21
If the above is true, you can join a new employer for a similar job or rather same job description and do AC21 to move your case to the new company. Dont take it too seriously .... and disturb ur sleeps and all .... See, if the receipt has to come from somewhere else, then its a different story ..... USCIS is the one who has to generate the receipts and we have to send the receipt back to USCIS ....
If USCIS themselves are delaying the recipts for whatever reasons, its their problem to handle .....We can show many other proofs as initial evidences ....Its no big deal for them to verify this ...

More than anything, I just believe in God ....
